Terminus for DSM

1.0.0-0021

Terminus for Synology DSM: a native app inside DSM that watches your servers, opens SSH terminals in the browser and sends alerts through DSM and Telegram.

The NAS does the work day and night: it polls your hosts, checks services and warns when something goes down, even with the browser closed.

One app for every model (noarch), for DSM administrators only; the package runs as its own user, without root.

Six languages: French, Dutch, German, English, Russian and Spanish.

Features

Board

The whole fleet on one screen

Every host with its state, CPU, graphics card, memory, disks, Docker and uptime; problems rise to the top.

Terminal

SSH in tabs

Several terminals at once, tmux sessions that survive a dropped connection, reusable command snippets.

Docker

Containers and services

Start, stop, restart, read the logs, open a shell; systemd services with journal and restart.

Network

Built-in tools

Devices on the local network with their name and maker, port scan, ping, DNS lookups.

Key

Key-based login

Terminus creates its own ed25519 key and installs it on the host; the password is needed only once.

Privacy

Nothing leaves

No account, no cloud, no telemetry: only SSH connections to your own servers.

Questions and answers

Which NAS?

Any Synology with DSM 7.2 or later, whatever the processor.

Why no ping?

DSM does not let packages send ICMP; Terminus probes TCP ports and reads the NAS ARP table instead.

Alerts?

DSM notifications to administrators in their language, and Telegram if you give it a bot.

How do I check the downloaded file?

In Terminal, run the command below and compare the result with the SHA-256 fingerprint on the right. If a single character differs, do not open the file and write to us.

shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/terminus-1.0.0-0021-noarch.spk
